Near the mint, this 8" cathrineholm mustard metal and white enamel lotus bowl is in excellent condition. Only very minor imperfections, near the mint.
Cathrineholm is a kitchen utensil in enamel conu by the Norwegian green prytz kittelsen. These fabulous Scandinavian designs of the middle of the century have become classics from all over the world. The well-known bowls, pots and kettles with bright colours and distinctive patterns have great sentimental value in our minds. Grete prytz kittelsen (born 1917) has produced many works based on silver, glazed enamel and plastics. As one of the leading artists of the Scandinavian design movement, kittelsen received several awards and distinctions in the 1950s.
From 1954 to 57, she participated in the exhibition design in scandinavia, presented in several locations in the United States and in Canada. By the late 1950s, its products, made by hadeland glassverk and cathrineholm, were commonly present in Norwegian homes. Please look at all the photos as they are part of the description.
