It is firmly attached to the saucer. Both pieces are stamped with the mercury stamp with 13 points of \"villeroy and boch wallerfangen\". The 13-pointed Mercury Temple was used between 1876 and 1931. Since it is missing here, I suppose this terrine was made between 1876 and 1887. The model was also used before 1900, according to a v-b sample plate.
