This beautiful decorative bowl was hand-turned from a green ash tree grown in the elbow park district of Calgary. First turned while the wood was still wet, it was allowed to dry for many months. Once dry, it was turned again to its final shape, the thickness of the wall and the softness. At its largest, it is 9 inches (23 cm) in diameter and is about 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) high.
Carrying a high resin oil, it is best to clean by wiping with a damp cloth. It was conu as a decorative piece, but that is to prevent you from using it as a large bowl of fruit. This item is made of wood.
