Quite vintage (1930s) myott sound co. Myott staffordshire - france pattern myott derby 7773, bowl of vegetables covered square hand-painted. Derby 7773 is an imari pattern with stripes of cobalt, recessed gold watermark, art deco flowers slightly embossed in orange, red and yellow details and embossed with a scalloped gold edge. In excellent condition with non chips, cracks, treats or crazy, minimal loss of gold on the edge or accents and not marks, stains, scratches or other signs of use or wear.
The cobalt colors and art deco flowers in relief are bright and vibrant with only very light discoloration or wear. This period of myott earthenware - from the 1930s - is among the most prized by collectors and the derby model is extremely difficult to find, especially in this state unfortunately, the artist of the myott factory has not signed or date their work. Approximate measurements: 9-1/4\" square x 3\" in depth (not including rim in depth measurement) with a wide rim of 2-2/8.
